Indian Acres is guarded by it's own Security Force 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Your vehicle is subject to search at anytime by an IACT Security Guard while inside Indian Acres.

Dial 911 first. Then notify Indian Acres Security so they can allow emergency vehicles inside the gate and escort them to your location.
According to IACT's Governing Documents, the Officers of the Corporation and the IACT Security Department have the duty and responsibility to enforce all rules & regulations relating to the Campground.
BREAKING & ENTERING, DISTURBANCE or THEFT
If you believe a BREAKING & ENTERING, DISTURBANCE or THEFT is occurring or has occurred, please contact IACT Security.
It is recommended to KEEP A LOG OF YOUR VALUABLES with serial numbers and photographs in order to locate and recover your belongings. IACT Security can provide you with a form to log household & personal items, appliances, etc.

Parking at the Caravan Circle
PRIOR to PARKING at the CARAVAN CIRCLE, paperwork must be completed and a permit must be obtained from IACT Security.
Parking at the Caravan Circle is prohibited one (1) week prior to Holiday Weekends.

Please remember to be courteous to the Golf Carts on the road. They can not travel as quickly as cars.
Golf Course
Vehicles and Motor Bikes are prohibited on the GOLF COURSE at all times.
Golf Carts are permitted while playing golf only! Violators will be ticketed.
Registration
Golf carts, motor bikes, scooters, fun carts, mini dune buggies, and etc. must be registered with IACT Security each year.

(No registrations on Holiday Weekends).

The use of ROLLER BLADES, ROLLER SKATES, SKATEBOARDS, etc. is permitted in the Inner Caravan Circle and Tee Pee only, BUT is prohibited during Holiday Weekends and Special Events.
ALL ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION VEHICLES
Age Restriction: No one under the age of 16 may operate a golf cart, fun cart/mini dune buggy, ATV, motor scooter, dirt bike, 2, 3 or 4-wheeler, or other alternative motorized vehicle at IACT.
Registration/Re-Registration and Safety Inspection Requirements:
1. All alternative motorized vehicles operated on IACT property are required to be registered and undergo a safety inspection by November 1 annually which is valid for one year.
2. A $15 ANNUAL registration fee must be paid at the time of registration or at each annual renewal for golf carts. (Fee subject to review/chang annually.)
3. Registration/re-registration/safety inspections are conducted through IACT Security Department DAILY between the hours of 9:00a.m. through 4:00p.m., with the exception of holiday weekends.
4. IDENTIFICATION of the glen and lot number MUST be affixed (not writtten in marker) to the front and rear of the vehicle in a manner that numbers and letters are of a size suitable to be read in normal daylight from a distance of thirty (30) feet. Recommended size is three inch (3") lettering.
5. Golf carts MUST be equipped with two (2) permanent affixed headlights (preferable Halogen), spaced as far apart as possible, two (2) red or orange tail lights, also spaced as far apart as possible, glen and lot numbers, and at least one (1) rearview mirror.
6. Each fun cart/mini dune buggy MUST be equipped with an eight foot (8') safety flag.
7. A RELEASE FROM CIVIL LIABILITY form must be completed by the owner, operator, and in the case of minor operator (under 18 years of age), by the parent(s) or guardian(s). Forms are available at the IACT Security Department.
8. A CURRENT INSURANCE POLICY that contains a minimum of $100,000 in personal liability insurance for each alternative motorized vehicle must be presented at the time of registration/re-registration.
9. Change of ownership. If ownership of a vehicle changes, it MUST be re-registered under the name and glen/lot of the new owner.
Lights on your funstead
Lights that are continuously on and unattended are not permitted. Please turn off your lights during the day and when your funstead is not in use. DUSK to DAWN LOW WATTAGE SECURITY LIGHTS are PERMITTED.
Entrance into IACT
YOU MUST HAVE YOUR IACT PASS WITH YOU FOR ENTRY INTO THE CAMPGROUND. IACT SECURITY WILL RANDOMLY CHECK IDENTIFICATION OF ANYONE ENTERING IACT PROPERTY TO CONFIRM VALIDITY OF MEMBERSHIP CARDS & GUEST PASSES.
A "Delinquent Member shall refer to any member owner who is not current in payment of any annual charge and/or any assessments set or authorized by the Board of Directors with respect to any and all lots owned by the member."
It is a violation of IACT's Governing Documents for a delinquent member to enter IACT property on a guest pass. "A Delinquent Member has only the right of direct ingress and egress only to his/her lot, to the absolute exclusion of the use and enjoyment of the facilities and services of the Association."
Owner's Responsibility & Guest Passes
YOU, the property owner, are RESPONSIBLE for anyone entering IACT on your GUEST PASS. All members in good standing (current in membership dues accounts) are given 10 guest passes. All persons 6 years of age & older must have a valid pass. Guest passes CANNOT be left at the Security Gate.
ANIMALS / PETS
"No animals or livestock of any description, except the usual household pets, shall be kept on any campsite." All pets must be under control at all times and are prohibited from creating a public health problem. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Please be courteous to your fellow funsteaders and promptly clean-up / pick-up waste, secure in a plastic bag and discard. Pets are prohibited from entering any IACT Amenity (Comfort Stations, Trapp Farm, Administration Building, etc.) with the exception of seeing eye dogs.

VIRGINIA RESIDENTS (16 YEARS OF AGE & OLDER) AND OUT OF STATE RESIDENTS (12 & OLDER) MUST HAVE A FISHING LICENSE TO FISH IN THE IACT LAKES! OWNING PROPERTY AT INDIAN ACRES DOES NOT QUALIFY YOU AS A RESIDENT OF THE STATE FOR THE PURPOSE OF OBTAINING A FISHING LICENSE. Fishing regulations and information here.

DURING SEVERE STORMS, the LOWER LEVEL OF THE CLUBHOUSE is available as SHELTER for the duration of the storm.
TAMPERING WITH IACT COMFORT STATION HEATERS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED.
PLEASE GIVE THE RIGHT-OF-WAY TO EMERGENCY VEHICLES. Pull to the right side of the road to permit emergency vehicles to pass by you. IT COULD BE A MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH!

THE GEESE REMAIN AT IACT OVER THE WINTER FOR THE WATER IN OUR LAKES & PONDS AND BECAUSE OF THE FOOD SUPPLIED TO THEM BY IACT MEMBERS AND GUESTS! PLEASE DO NOT ENCOURAGE THE GEESE TO BE YEAR 'ROUND RESIDENTS AT IACT!
